Intelligent robotics and humanoids are rapidly moving from research laboratories into real-world environments, where they are increasingly expected to operate with dexterity, autonomy, safety, and resilience. At the core of this transition lies sensor technology and, more broadly, sensor-based systems that enable machines to perceive, interpret, and interact with complex and unstructured environments. From tactile and force sensing to vision, proprioception, multimodal fusion, embedded intelligence, and real-time control, sensors are becoming the key enablers of next-generation robotic platforms.
